At St Paul's church we love to celebrate the birth of a child with services of 'thanksgiving' or 'dedication'. We also love to celebrate the adoption of a child by giving thanks to God and praying for the family. These are always joyous occasions and happen within the context of a Sunday service, normally at 10:30am - on any Sunday of the month. We gather the church family, the family and friends of the child, and together give thanks to God for the wonderful gift of the baby. We pray for and bless the child and their parents, and this is a service offered widely to anyone and everyone who would like to have it. You do not have to be committed Christians or church members to come and celebrate the birth of your baby with us - it would be our delight to welcome you.  Please contact the vicar Ruth or the church office on 01306 743378 to arrange a thanksgiving or dedication service. 
 

Infant baptism 

Infant Baptism gives the opportunity for members of the church to bring their children before God in a public declaration of their intent to raise them as followers of Jesus and within the family of the Christian Church. At the baptism service, the whole church family also makes commitments to support the child as he or she grows up within the community of faith.
