A Rocha

A Roche Our most recent mission partnership is with CMS missionaries Dave Bookless and Kailean and Kim Khongsai, working for A Rocha through the Church Mission Society (CMS). This reflects the international aspect of our relationship with the environment, the Christian mission to care for God’s creation and opportunities for many to develop theology and hands-on experience.

Dave Bookless Dave Booklessis Director of Theology at A Rocha International, an international Christian nature conservation organisation. He is also part-time Vicar of St. Mary’s Norwood Green, in multi-cultural Southall, London and a member of the Church of England’s Environment Working Group. He is passionate about joined-up faith-filled discipleship which particularly includes recognising the Lordship of Christ in our attitudes towards creation, consumption, climate and other environmental issues. Dave’s role with A Rocha International involves resourcing the global family of A Rocha organisations across 20+ countries with biblical materials, and also liaising with global Christian networks (including the Lausanne Movement, World Evangelical Alliance, Micah Global and Renew our World) to ensure creation care is integrated in their life and mission. Dave is an international speaker and has written a number of books including Planetwise and God doesn’t do Waste.

Kailean and Kim Khongsai Kailean and Kim Khongsaiand their children live in Southall.  In Autumn 2020, Kim’s role will change from a Rocha Centre Manager to an Event Assistant-supporting family outdoor events and schools visits at Wolf Fields, whilst Kailean co-ordinates events and volunteers from local churches and the multi-cultural multi-faith community with which they have built up links over a number of years. He manages Wolf Fields, an inner city nature reserve hosting a range of environmental projects and which is used by many community groups, both faith-based and secular. As Christians they are seeking to serve God through encouraging contact with the natural environment in an urban context, and to share God’s blessing and gospel hope with all.
