Sunday Evenings 6pm Informal Gathering
About The 6
The 6 is our most relaxed and informal service of the week. We gather from 5.50pm for coffee, cake and a catch-up. You can expect a time of extended worship, engaging teaching and time for response and action.
In each service we hope that The 6 will be a place of spiritual oasis and authentic community for all those who come along. We gather to worship God (Heart), to listen to His word (Head) and go out into the world living differently (Hands).
Faith In Action
Following on from our series on The Lord’s Prayer, this half term we’re going to be looking at how the book of James can help us put our faith into action in our everyday lives. The book of James (or Jacob…have a watch of the Bible Projects James overview if you want to know more!

) is a summary of his teaching/wisdom for Christian Jews - his aim is to challenge how we live as Christians.
The main teaching in James is that life is hard, but through these trials God can do amazing works & we can become ‘whole’ - living as God intended us to, living out our faith through our actions (James 1:23 MSG ‘Act on what you hear!). There are some fairly challenging statements, but it’s full of wisdom that can help us grow in our faith & put what we learn into practice.
We're going to spend six weeks unpacking the wisdom in James through short talks and times of active response.
